Fall Time in Cache Valley

Fall is my favorite time of year and the season here in Cache Valley is incredibly beautiful. My wife and I have started a number of fall traditions since moving to Logan a few years ago. Everything from picking elderberries in Logan Canyon to turn into homemade jelly, to the annual trip to the pumpkin [...]
Jackson’s Friend Greyson

It’s been one my busiest photography weeks in… well ever. I started the week off with a family shoot, had an engagement shoot a few days later and then spent a little time tonight taking pictures of Jackson’s little friend Greyson at the park. The two boys spent most of the day together at Greyson’s [...]
18 Months Old

I have to apologize for the lack of posts over the summer. I’ve been spending a lot of quality time with my wife and son and generally enjoying being outside as much as possible. Unfortunately blogging took a bit of a back seat. Now that fall is here, I hope to get back to posting [...]
Jackson – 1 Year Old

It’s hard to believe that Jackson is one year old now! It seems like just yesterday that we put the tiny little guy in his car seat for the first time in the parking lot of the hospital and took him home to start a new chapter in our lives. It’s been an amazing experience [...]
Utah Senior Photography – Parker

My little brother Parker is set to graduate from Wasatch High school in about a month! He’s got an awesome eye for design and is an up and coming photographer in his own right. Needless to say, I was really happy to get the chance to take his senior pictures…it’s not every day I get [...]
Playing With Window Light

I’ve been having a lot of fun lately shooting by window light. It’s a relatively simple technique, but one that gets fantastic results because of the soft, diffused light. Jackson is always a willing subject and it’s fun getting him to smile for the camera. I hope he’s always such a willing participant! Enjoy…
Jackson’s 10 Months

After Sammy’s successful shoot yesterday I thought I would spend the afternoon taking some pictures of my own son. Jackson is ten months old now and is busy doing all the things ten month old kids are supposed to do. The biggest change since his last photo shoot is that he’s mobile now. Needless to [...]
Little Sammy Sam

A few months ago I took some family pictures for our friends Eric & Katie. Their little guy is turning one pretty soon and they wanted some pictures of the little guy to celebrate the milestone. We were hoping that the unseasonably warm weather would continue so that we could spend some time outside, but [...]
Merry Christmas…Enjoy the Lights

It’s hard to believe another year has already passed us by! I say this every year, but it seems like this past year just barely got here. Now it’s done and already time to say hello to the next one. I hope everybody has an enjoyable and safe holiday season. Enjoy a little Orange Crush, [...]
Eric & Katie

This past weekend, I had the chance to take some family pictures for some of our friends up here in Logan. The weather failed to cooperate on Saturday, so we rescheduled for Sunday with the hope that it would be a bit nicer. It was…well sort of… Logan is notorious for having really heavy fog [...]
Family Photos

I spent this weekend in Heber City, UT with my extended family. We’ve had a few new additions since our last big family photo shoot so we thought it was time for another one. We loaded up the kids and headed over to Huber Grove in Wasatch Mountain State Park for a fantastic fall afternoon. [...]
6 Months Old

Jackson turned 6 months old this week and I don’t know where the time has gone! It was a beautiful night up here in Logan so my wife and I decided to get the little guy dressed up in some cute fall clothes and head over to the park for a little photo shoot. Here’s [...]
Three Months Old

It’s already been a few months since my little son was born and because he has changed so much since the last photo shoot, I figured it was time to take some more photos of him. Here’s a couple of my favorites from this weekend…
Bullfrog Spas Spring Photo Shoot

This past Tuesday I spent the day on location in Salt Lake for the Bullfrog Spas Spring lifestyle photo shoot. The shoot lasted for about four and a half hours and we were able to capture an impressive amount of images. The models were fantastic, and the site was incredible! Thanks for everybody’s help in [...]
Newborn Photography

My wife and I welcomed our first little baby, Jackson James, into the world a few weeks ago. While I don’t usually take many photos of babies, the combination of being a proud new father and having a new subject to shoot was too much to pass up. Here are a few photos from the [...]
Caribbean Sunsets

A few weeks ago my wife and I had the chance to spend a week in the Caribbean on the island of Antigua. While photography and graphic design were not on my mind most of the time, I did bring along my camera and managed to pull myself away from the beach for a little [...]
2009 Bullfrog Spas Summer Shoot

This past Thursday I spent the day in the Daybreak development on the west side of the Salt Lake Valley for an “On Location” photo shoot for Bullfrog spas. Our goal for the shoot was to further enhance our image library with images of new models and a new location. We had scheduled a casting [...]
Wasatch Mountain Photography

When I was younger, I used to love looking through the pages of National Geographic Magazine. The photography of far off, exotic lands and stories of adventures to places I’d never heard of were inspiring to me. One day, while I was sitting in the local library, I came across a very memorable article that [...]
Great Salt Lake Train Car

A few months ago I spent an evening on the southern shores of the Great Salt lake taking some pictures as the sun went down. For one reason or another, I never got around to editing them. Tonight, as I was browsing my files, I stumbled across this image and was really pleased with the [...]
Bouldering Action Photography

I spent this past weekend down in central Utah with some friends bouldering in an area known as Joe’s Valley. As usual, I brought my camera with the hopes of getting a few shots.
Lights of Downtown SLC

I went downtown after work today in the hopes of catching a few sunset, dusk, and night shots around the city. The smog and haze took a lot of the clarity out of the pictures and the image results were less than spectacular because of it. I was, however, pleased with these two shots.
Mountain Photography

I took this photo last weekend while spending the day climbing in the Wasatch mountains here in Utah. What caught my eye in the particular image is how the light and shadow play off of each other to create some interesting lines.
